Xavier McDonald
Memorial Scholarship
The Xavier McDonald Memorial Scholarship was established in loving memory of Xavier John McDonald, whose joyful spirit and kind heart left a lasting impact on his family, friends, and the Westfield community.
Xavier was a student at Westfield Intermediate School and a sixth grader full of life, laughter, and love. He had a special gift for making others smile and enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. Xavier loved video games, adored his pug, Bruce—named after Bruce Wayne—and recently discovered a passion for music after joining the band and learning to play the trumpet.
Xavier passed away unexpectedly on November 13, 2022. In honor of his life, his family established this scholarship through the Westfield Education Foundation as a way to both remember Xavier and give back to the community that surrounded them with overwhelming love and support.
Funds raised through the Xavier McDonald Memorial Scholarship will support local students by providing household essentials, musical instruments and band equipment, educational scholarships, and other resources to help students succeed. Xavier often said, “I’m good,” a phrase that now serves as a reminder of his positive outlook and generous spirit. Through this scholarship, his family hopes to help ensure that—together—we are all good.
