Youth Recreation Leader Scholarship

Established in 2026, the Friends of Hamilton County Parks, Inc. created this scholarship to support Westfield students inspired to pursue careers that enhance parks, nature, public health, and community wellbeing.

 

For nearly two decades, Friends of Hamilton County Parks devoted itself to strengthening and enriching parks across the county.

​

As the foundation concludes its work in 2025, this scholarship ensures that its legacy continues through the next generation of students who will carry this mission forward.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:

  • Intend to pursue collegiate study in parks and recreation, conservation, natural resources, health and wellness, or a closely related field.

  • Hold a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75

  • Demonstrate active engagement in their community through extracurricular involvement, athletics, volunteerism, or similar activities.

  • Be a graduate of Westfield High School.

  • Enroll full-time in an accredited institution of higher learning — including vocational, trade, two-year, or four-year programs.
