The Sampson family has established the William and Barbara Sampson Family Scholarship in loving memory of William and Barbara Sampson, honoring their lifelong commitment to education, family, and community.

Barbara Ann (Barmore) Sampson grew up in Indiana and discovered her calling as an educator at a young age. Her kindness, sense of humor, and love of learning made her a cherished first teacher and friend to many preschoolers. An enthusiastic reader and creative spirit, Barb shared her passion for knowledge with her daughter and grandchildren, leaving a lasting impact on those she taught and loved.

William Gene “Bill” Sampson was devoted to his faith, family, and community. He treasured time spent with loved ones, cheering on his grandchildren, fishing, reading, and volunteering through his local church. Bill’s dedication to education was evident through his service on the Westfield Washington School Board and his instrumental role in founding the Westfield Education Foundation.

Through this scholarship, the Sampson family proudly continues William and Barbara’s legacy by supporting graduates of Westfield High School and investing in the future of education.
